Why stay there?
The Château du Rivau is an early renaissance castle and you will sleep in the old grooms' rooms in the royal stables, characteristic of the renaissance and built in 1550.
From your historic room, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the castle.
The atmosphere is unique and intimate (with only a few rooms).

- The view: in front of the castle, you will enjoy a magnificent view of the castle and the gargantua's garden (full of pumpkins and other squashes during our visit).
- Decoration: a balance between modernity and tradition. The dialogue of periods is clearly the know-how of the owners.
- The restaurant: combine this night with a gourmet meal at the Jardin Secret restaurant on a veranda facing the dwelling.
- Silence: once the last visitors have left, the Château du Rivau has only a few inhabitants (the other guests of the hotel and the owners). Located in the countryside, nothing will disturb the peace of the place. Hush....

The Hôtel Les Trésorières is the ideal place to stay in Tours for one or more nights. We were very pleased with the warm, attentive welcome we received from the on-site team, and have very fond memories of the experience.
This 5-star establishment seduced us with its modern, fully-equipped and comfortable rooms, as well as its wellness area for a timeless interlude!
For those with a sweet tooth, breakfastwas one of the highlights of our stay, with a wide variety of fresh, local produce. All in a sleek, chic setting.

4. Château des Forges (Slow Village)
Why stay there?
Radical change, with the Château des Forges a few kilometers from Angers. This time we are in a large bourgeois house built in the 19th century by a rich industrialist from Anjou. Its architecture is reminiscent of the beautiful villas of seaside resorts.
You may be 10 minutes from downtown Angers, but you're in the middle of an ocean of nature, with an unobstructed view over the green valleys.
Recently restored by an antique dealer, the hotel offers a beautiful contemporary decoration inspired by Bauhaus.

- The size of our room: With the bathroom alone almost the size of the room in some hotels, you're unlikely to feel cramped. All the more so as the elegant furniture blends in with the room's decor.
- A resolutely contemporary and creative ambience. There's a real energy about the place.
- Breakfast: On the menu, a host of homemade products, including a chocolate pudding to die for! A good start!

Another beautiful luxury establishment in Amboise, Hôtel du Manoir Les Minimes offers 5-star service. Built on the foundations of the monks' former medieval monastery , this intimate hotel features 15 rooms.
The sublime view of the Château Royal d'Amboise is certainly one of the assets of this accommodation. This listed eighteenth-century building has been completely renovated to allow you to experience modern luxury in an unspoilt setting. What more could you ask for?

6. Château de Chissay (4 stars)
Why stay there?
The Chissay castle is mainly a renaissance castle, even if its medieval keep has been preserved. It welcomed on several occasions the kings of France Charles VII and Louis XI. Now it's your turn!
The château was converted into a hotel in 1985, offering visitors a journey back in time. We really appreciated the tasteful, comfortable decor of the rooms, which plunges you into theworld of the Renaissance.
But don't forget that you're in a large historic castle, and that certain levels of comfort may not be the same as in more modern or smaller venues.

- The architecture: we are in a castle with a particularly rich history that keeps beautiful traces of its rich hours. Coats of arms, sculptures, vaulted arches...
- Decoration: Both the room and the restaurant are immersed in a renaissance atmosphere, with carved wooden furniture, a dominant cardinal red, magnificent parquet floors...
- Atmosphere: After a good dinner, once you close the heavy wooden door, you naturally plunge into a meditation, as the place calls for meditation. It takes you back 500 years when Pierre Bérard, maître d'hôtel to the king, set about perfecting the medieval château...

Less than a 5-minute walk from the legendary Château de Chambord, we spent an exquisite night! In the heart of the estate, the Hôtel Relais de Chambord offered us a royal stay.
Our room was directly overlooking the castle with a truly incredible view, which is what makes this experience so luxurious!
